Will spraying tack solution on top of ppf damage the ppf? Not sure because it has alcohol in it and I don’t know what to use to clean it before installing MOHS EVO 2 ceramic coating.
Just picked up my Cybertruck on the last day of July. I used your checklist and it came in handy, but one thing I found when I got home that the lugnuts were not tight. I had a rubbing noise in the back and wasn't sure what the sound was. I had installed a aftermarket cap on the rim before I left Tesla show room. I didn't get any noise until I was going slow showing some one the truck. I made an appointment but was going to look at the suspension, that when I discovered one nut was almost off and all the other ones were finger tight. Only one was snug but by no means 150 ft lbs of torque.
Thanks
Exceptional guide!
2019 Tesla Model 3 with 30K miles for 28K at CarMax is that a good buy???
Thanks for this. Picking up 2024 MP3 tomorrow
Congrats!
Mud and Salt will make that cover weld to that rim and taking it off could be a problem. Uh Michigan girl here lol
Wraps? Hell naw bruh. I’m doing the real thing
question: why you don't connect the panel inside the garage. I only have 1 electronic panel inside the garage...........
This is the only panel I have. If yours is in the garage, that's no problem. Use that one.
Would you recommend going to 18” wheels and tires for a Model Y LR? I was thinking about this for all the reasons you stated - lower cost tires, better range, more comfortable ride, etc.
If you're okay with the look of the smaller wheels, then go for it. Lots of pros like you said!
Sorry if you mention in a different video but why no ppf kit for the model x?
Unfortunately, a DIY PPF kit for the X is lower on our priority list due to not enough demand. So, it's in the works, but not out yet. Is that something you'd be interested in?
@@tesbros Absolutely it would! Gotta protect my investment and your kits have really helped me saved money (bought for model 3).
I leave a lot of water in PPF instalation will it heal/ water will disappear
If you have a bubble smaller than a nickel, it should dissipate within a week
Hai
What is better deals: 2022 model 3 standard, $26,000 out the door with 46,000 miles or 2020 model 3 standard, $25,700 out the door with 42,000 miles?
Just from these specs, I’d probably go with the 2022. But since the mileage and price are so similar, I’d care more about how well they were taken care of and go with the better condition most likely
Can I ask I've seen a lot of videos recommending a ratio of 2ml baby shampoo/ 1000ml of water. Can you please comment on why you use 5ml? Thanks!
I find that 5ml is the best ratio for me. You can try 2ml if you'd like and if it's not slipping enough for you, add a little more. Sometimes you just have to play around with the solutions until you find what works best for you.
Do all highland models need 25 mm jack pads?
Unfortunately, you'd really need to measure to be sure. Some of the later highlands might have switched to 20mm by now.
For all u wondering it’s not as easy as it looks same goes for window tint lol a professional makes anything look easy
What do you recommend for white marks on black tesla seats?
Most likely the same cleaning method of a boar brush, interior cleaner, and a clean micro. What have you tried so far?
@@tesbros chemical guys total interior
As long as you're agitating that area with a soft bristle brush and the cleaner, it should work fine. It's hard to know without seeing it though. If you want to send us a photo on instagram @teslabros, we can better help!
Would you rather DIY or leave it to the pros?
Why does a Tesla have a P100D sticker on the back but it doesn’t say P100D on the software feature? Is it still a performance model? It’s a 2018. Any insight would be helpful
It should say performance or P100D under 'software' in the touchscreen if it's a performance model. It's also possible the previous owner put that badge on there and it's not actually correct. The easiest way to see what it is for sure is to put the VIN into carfax. You don't have to download the report to see the name of the model that will pull up. For example, it will say 2018 Tesla Model S or X P100D if it's accurate. Kind of a secret hack.
Great video. Thanks
Glad to help
What about the sub for the dash cam
A camo wrap has to be painful for seeing bubbles
😂 Not the easiest
Buying myself a used tesla model 3 soon and this helped out a lot truly thank you! great content !

Yeah. Take them emblem off and then reapply after

The performance model 3 front bumper is much harder than the regular one it’s a pain in the ass with the side air vents.
@@tommy13965 yep. Definitely. A lot of tension in the vents.
I learned so much within one minute of this video compared to so much presenters who drone on and on

This was great. I was looking on your website and did not see a kit for just the Model 3 Mirrors only. We only need a drivers side mirror on a TM3.

Curb rash. The owner can’t drive.

How long does it last?
We use high quality Avery Dennison PPF in our diy kits that’ll last up to 10 years. Any high quality PPF will last that long if taken care of

I have seen videos saying not to use alcohol and water on headlights just hot water. Is that true?
@@robert_murphy916 there’s nothing wrong with using tack on headlights. We usually use it to seal the edges at the end at least. You shouldn’t need much though
@@tesbrosok thanks how much soap do I add to a 32 Oz bottle and alcohol
about 5 ml of soap should be good. For tack, it's 20% alcohol and 80% water
Best is to demo it at outdoor where you can see the difference between the sun shines directly to it vs in the shade vs during cloudy day.
Other videos also clean the air duct under the frunk. Do you recommend this?
You can! especially if you park under trees or the fall leaves are everywhere. Leaves and small sticks are what you’ll mostly find there
Thanks for this. I'm picking up my new 2024 M3P soon!
Congrats!
@@tesbros Thanks!
@@tesbros By the way, I would love some color-matched handle face wraps for the Ultra Red! Not full wraps, just the outer surface. Any plans for that?
We can make you a custom order if you email us at support@tesbros.com
@@tesbros Thank you! I assume you've found a wrap that matches Ultra Red?
I still can’t believe that I met you
Thanks for the video! I’ve seen other videos in which a bra was removed from the hood after several years, and there was a very noticeable difference between the paint protected by the bra and the rest of the hood. Should I be worried about that happening after a few years? Or can that be resolved after removal of the film with some simple polishing?
If you have a bra, you'll most likely have to polish after PPF removal to blend the protected and unprotected areas to match more closely, restoring a uniform look to the paint. A pro detailer could do this. In the meantime, keep it clean and maintained and that will lessen the amount of inconsistency that will happen.
Thanks for confirming! I’ve just purchased a film kit from your website.
Hey can I remove the “Tesla” on the chrome on the Model S 2014 ?
No unfortunately you can't
@@tesbros aww Damn 😜 I got everything else removed by your method :) heat gun and pilled Off the rest
Does the alcohol And water tack damage glue ...
No, it allows the adhesive to stick better
@@tesbros ok on some brands it distorts glue I heard....
@@JBIRD575 Not a problem if you have high quality film
I tried this today on my white MY, would not recommend. The wrap is not wide enough to fit from in the gap above the window trim all the way up over the pillar amd down into the roof glass. Also, on the front windshield i can clearly see white showing through. The rear drivers side was so bad i had to try and use some black electrical tape so it didnt look silly until a replacement is sent.
In practice they all scratch really easily and most scratches will not self heal, only the very minor micro scratches will self heel. They are also difficult to keep clean. I suggest anyone getting PPF also gets them ceramic coated to make it easier to keep clean.
@ 11:45 how much force are you applying when you squeegee?
Pretty good amount there. You can see the middle caving in a bit when I squeegee. Use two hands for more force if needed. However, you don't want it to be too much force that you're dragging the film, only the water underneath. The goal is to get all the water out without any bubbles left behind, so if you see any streaks or white spots after squeegeeing, then squeegee harder. The biggest thing is really to overlap your strokes and apply an even pressure all the way through.
Hey do take your black cyber truck to Destin flordia
@@BIRDIEVR_177 we did 😂. It’s half wrapped since we were doing some testing.
@@tesbros are you there right now

Are you at lulu’s
Ok. But later when you come to park in the garage I have spare tires against the wall I run into to prevent hitting the wall. Problem is the tension can raise up some of the film so what's best way to get rid of raised film spots? Hair dryer and mild heat maybe?
High heat would be best. Just keep the dryer moving about 6 inches away from the film, heat it up to where it's more malleable, then squeegee slowly from side to side down the fingers or raised areas. This will be a dry fix, so no need to have slip or tack.
